A Functional Mutation
A significant part of my work involves adapting and re-purposing antique and reclaimed furniture and metalwork. Such jobs rarely find their way into my blog.
So here is a rare offering from a few years ago. Newly created pillow-mounted bronze urns replace the original gas-lamps on these late 19th century wrought steel standards.
I had actually intended them as either uplighters or plant-stands - but the client decided to create rather torcheres instead.
