DRAGON 1/8 is in the collection of the Xiangsi Culture & Design Museum, Tianjin, China, having previously featured in a photoshoot for Philip Treacy, by the Russian celebrity photographer Sasha Gusov.
These "imagined creatures" are derived from mythology and legend.
They are portrayed through the medium of more-or-less functional furniture, in various incarnations - ranging from one-off sculptures to limited edition, adapted to different material combinations and production techniques.
There is no perfect "showroom" state for any of my works: they exist in a continuum of crafting - use - decay - repair -restoration; and every defect - be it production error, wear-and-tear of use and abuse, repair or modification is simply a contribution to the character and individuality of the piece.
